Medical Information:

• Patients who are not local will be seen by a local G.P as a temporary resident
• Patient receiving private medical care may be visited by their consultant
• Any medical concerns may be discussed with Matron or a member of her nursing team at any time
• Admission of a patient into the home will involve an assessment, by Matron or her deputy, to ensure that the home can adequately and safely meet the needs and requirements of the patient. A detailed medical history and base line observations will be taken this time
• Patient's may have access to their medical records held at the home
• We will obtain all treatments and medicines on the NHS whenever possible
• Patients are welcome to self medicate only if appropriate
• Details of medication will be required
• We have many "aids to daily living" available on the premises which may be purchased on an individual basis if required
